IS IT THAT TIME ALREADY?!

We had an incredible event last year, with thousands lining the streets of our town, despite the terrible weather that hit in the afternoon. Food, music, artisans and drinks were all enjoyed... and it's time to get you vendors signed up again!

General pitches are £25 with charities/orgs costing only £10 and hot food vendors up to £45. Even though the rain hit our event hard, almost every food vendor sold out! We are adding a few extra spots (but not that many!), so shoot us an email if you want to get involved: [email protected]

Organisers of the Long Street Summer Social are on the hunt for a mystery young author after the winning entry in a special children’s book competition was announced last month – but the winner forgot to include their name.

**SAVE THE DATE**

After such a brilliant community event (despite terrible weather) last month, we're giving you a soft Save The Date for your calendars. We want to ensure there aren't major clashes (it's a weekend in August some some are inevitable) so we're keeping it soft for now.

We're taking the biggest successes from this year and giving our community more of what they want in 2026. Music, Food, drinks and crafting seemed to be the things enjoyed the most, so we'll ensure to include or expand those offerings next year. We already can't wait!

Wotton! You do love a shindig! Crappy weather for most of the day didn’t stop you showing up and turning out. Most of the food vendors sold out and thanks to a hardworking, smart and fast-moving team, we kept almost all of the event functioning, despite the unpredictability of our British Summer.

Due to the rain, our team had to pivot last-minute to ensure a safe event: we moved the bouncy castle inside, cancelled the carousel and reduced our footprint on Market St to ensure those risks were mitigated; moved The Tolsey stage into The Star Inn to keep you dancing, safely; turned Good Food Kitchen & Bar into a venue to provide another dry space for attendees; and moved some of the entertainment into the dry of the Town Hall.

By acting fast, our talented team gave you every possibility for you all to enjoy the day, and we’re so grateful you shared it with us. What a community. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our wonderful team, the brilliant artists, vendors, traders, and everyone who came who made the first ever Long Street Summer Social the best it could be!

We’re taking a nap for five to seven business days, and then we’ll start thinking about next year… we love you! ❤️🥳🎈

THIS PESKY WEATHER!!

Thanks to the unpredictable forecast we've had to shuffle things around a bit. It only really affects Kidstown, and are posting an updated map. The bouncy castle needs to be indoors so we've moved it to Under The Edge Arts, The Magnificent Mr. Kai's show has moved a little further along Market St, but remains close to the kids' Calmzone with Read With Me and Town Hall Teas. Unfortunately, we've had to cancel the carousel - while this is a blow, your safety is more important than anything.

Despite the last-minute changes, tomorrow is set to be a brilliant day, and we can't wait to share it with you!
