Join us for the next Meet the Team and Tenant Conference event on Monday 24th June, 10:00– 14:00 at The Bridge - Skills Hub in Worksop.

The event is a fantastic opportunity for tenants to come speak directly to the staff and partners who deliver Housing services to Council Tenants. Come and ask questions, discuss issues and get involved.

The schedule for the day:
🤝 Meet the Team – 10:00 to 11:30: Speak to staff and partners who deliver Housing services for tenants.
🥪 Lunch – 11:30 to 12:30: Free buffet provided for all attendees.
💬 Tenant Conference – 12:30 to 14:00: Get insightful updates on what is going on in Housing and ask questions.

Places are limited - to book your place, please email [email protected] or call 01909 533263. Please advice if you mobility / transport requirement and any food intolerances by Monday, 15 June at 5:00pm.

Please note that there is no on-site parking and the nearest car parks are on Memorial Avenue and at the Priory Centre.

Careers event showcasing apprenticeship opportunities

Bassetlaw District Council is hosting a regional careers event showcasing apprenticeship opportunities next month, bringing together local employers, training providers and aspiring learners.

The ‘Bridge into Apprenticeships’ event, delivered by the Bridge Skills Hub in Worksop has been commissioned by the East Midlands County Combined Authority (EMCCA) and marks the first Apprenticeship and Technical Education (ATE) event of its kind to be delivered in the north of the district. It aims to highlight the wide range of pathways available to those looking to start or progress their careers through apprenticeships.

New ‘Binfrastructure’ Strategy aims to cut littering

Bassetlaw District Council is looking at further ways to keep the district clean, attractive and welcoming for residents, businesses and visitors.

As part of a new ‘Binfrastructure Strategy’ the council is targeting littering and how to prevent it, through education, community engagement and enforcement and to make sure people are properly disposing of their waste.

Residents invited to shape the future of the Trent Valley

‘Know Your Place Trent Valley’ aims to give people living in the area the chance to say what matters most to them both now and in the future, as plans for redevelopment and related projects move forward at the former power stations at West Burton, Cottam and High Marnham.

Council backs Biosphere Reserve plans

Bassetlaw District Council has formally backed plans to create a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve covering the Humberhead Levels in the northern part of Bassetlaw.

It would be the first in the north of England and the first non-coastal location in the UK.
