Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Richmond Hill Primary school, Aspatria , to talk to the children about what the Police do and how we help to keep our communities and them safe.

The children were exceptionally well behaved throughout the session and were a credit to their school. They asked some fantastic questions, showing great curiosity and enthusiasm.

Thank you to all the staff and children for making us feel so welcome, it was a pleasure to meet you all!

Today PCSO Harris & PC Pattinson got to meet this gorgeous Brazilian Tapir called Zico, who loved a tickle and belly rub.
Did you know Tapirs are often called 'living fossils' because their ancestors have existed for millions of years, and despite looking like a pig, a tapir is closely related to horses and rhinos, they can weigh between 225 to 250kg, these lovely animals are protected by national laws and international treaties.
Thank you to The Lake District Wildlife Park for allowing the visit.

Today, PCSO Harris & PC Pattinson were out on foot in Silloth when they stumbled across a giant and his loyal dog relaxing on a bench! After making sure the giant wasn't causing any trouble, they stopped for a quick photo, thankfully both the giant and his four legged friend were on their best behaviour.
Remember if you spot any of the Neighbourhood Policing team out and about in the community, don't hesitate to come over and say hello.
