This half-term, the children have thoroughly enjoyed an exciting range of Science activities! They are currently busy carrying out hands-on experiments to help them design and create their own bird feeders, which links brilliantly with our theme project.

Our Year 6 pupils also had an incredible opportunity to take part in a workshop with Dr Greenwood. During this session, they explored how moon craters are formed, tackled real-life speed, distance and time challenges, and even used microscopes to discover tiny meteorites hidden in ice. It was a fantastic experience that truly brought science to life and sparked lots of curiosity and enthusiasm!

Griffins in Year 4 had a fantastic day at the Hay Festival last week. We were lucky enough to see two amazing authors; Maz Evans and Katherine Rundell. They inspired us to tell our own stories, whilst sharing the amazing books they have both written!

Last Friday we took part in 'Wear it Green day' to show our support for Mental Health. Children took part in an interactive class session on understanding worry.

Later in the afternoon, each class chose a different activity with the theme 'Take action' where they learnt about how the benefits of being outside, learning a new skill or how being active with their friends supports a healthy mind.
