TOMORROW (the 6th of September) is the final day to make a pledge and help us unlock match funding for this year's Big Give Christmas Challenge.

🍴☀️ A huge thank you to everyone who helped keep our Thursday lunches running over the summer! 🍴☀️

For most of the year, our Thursday lunch is very kindly prepared by the amazing SEN students from Heart of Worcestershire College. However, over the summer while they were taking a well-earned break, local businesses, community groups and supporters stepped up to provide a freshly prepared lunch for the people who access our Worcester Day Centre each week 🥪

We're so grateful to everyone who gave up their time, donated ingredients, cooked meals and helped ensure our service users continued to enjoy a warm, nutritious lunch throughout the summer.

🏠 Could you help create a welcoming space for people who need support? 🏠

We're looking for volunteers to support our new Help Hub and afternoon activities programme at our Worcester Day Centre!

The Help Hub will provide a friendly, accessible first point of contact for people needing practical information, help with everyday tasks, or guidance on where to access support. Alongside this, volunteers will help create opportunities for people to connect, build confidence and improve their wellbeing through a variety of activities.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨?
🤝 Welcoming people and creating a friendly and inclusive environment
📞 Assisting with simple tasks, such as making appointments
🎨 Helping with arts, crafts and creative activities
🎲 Supporting games, social groups and wellbeing sessions

This is a flexible role, and we'll work with you to find the right fit based on your skills, interests and availability. Whether you'd prefer supporting the Help Hub, helping with activities, or a bit of both, we'd love to hear from you.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Team Maggs has already raised over £3,000 — and race day isn’t even here yet! 💚

Our incredible Worcester City Runs team has been training, fundraising, sharing and rallying support — and together they’ve already raised more than £3,000 for Maggs.

That’s an amazing achievement before they’ve even crossed the start line. 🎉

Every pound raised will help us continue supporting people experiencing homelessness and vulnerability across Worcestershire, and we’re so grateful to every runner, every donor and everyone who has shared a fundraising page or cheered the team on so far.

With race day coming up on 13 September, there’s still time to help them push that total even further. 💚

🌧️ Rain or Shine, Everyone Deserves Shelter 🌧️

While most of us can escape a sudden downpour with the turn of a key, many people experiencing homelessness don’t have that option. The recent spells of rain have been especially tough for those living outside.

☔ As we move toward the colder, wetter months, items like raincoats, thick socks, umbrellas and sturdy boots become essential for helping people stay warm, dry, and healthy.

If you’re able to donate, these items can make a real difference for someone facing the elements every day 🙌

Happy Bank Holiday from all of us at Maggs!

While many of us are taking a break from work, our frontline teams are still out and about, providing practical assistance, building relationships and helping some of the most vulnerable members of our community access the support they need.

We're incredibly grateful to our staff and volunteers who continue to be there for people when they're needed most, whatever the day of the week 💚

This year, our incredible runners will be hitting the streets of Worcester to raise vital funds for Maggs, helping us continue supporting people experiencing homelessness and hardship across Worcestershire.

𝗔 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴! 🍻

We're incredibly grateful to the team at Community Funding Advice Ltd who organised the WR5 Ale & Cider Festival earlier this year, which raised an amazing £900 for Maggs.

🍎 Events like the Ale & Cider Festival are a fantastic example of what can be achieved when communities come together for a good cause. Every pint poured, ticket sold and hour volunteered has helped make a real difference.

As if that wasn't generous enough, the team have also chosen to pledge the full £900 towards our Big Give Christmas Challenge! 🎄

This means their fundraising efforts won't just support our work directly. They'll also help create the match-funding pot that allows donations made during the Big Give campaign to be doubled, helping us support even more people experiencing homelessness and hardship across Worcestershire this winter.
