With the help of generous donors, Maggs Clothing Project provides free of charge clothing and basic household items to the homeless and economically vulnerable across the City or Worcester.

📦 We'd like to say a huge thank you to our friends at Amada for holding another collection for us!

For over a year, Amada UK in Kidderminster have been one of Maggs’ most consistent and generous in-kind supporters, providing clothing donations for our Clothing Project.

👖 Access to good-quality clothing is so important for someone who is rough sleeping or insecurely housed, and we're so grateful to team Amada for standing alongside Maggs and helping us meet people’s most basic needs with compassion and consistency.

Earlier this week, we were delighted to welcome the new High Sheriff of Worcestershire, Maynard Burton, to Maggs.

During his visit, Maynard spent time learning more about our services, meeting members of the team and exploring the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness and severe hardship across Worcestershire.

We were encouraged to hear his commitment to continuing the work of previous High Sheriffs in championing local communities and causes. Discussions included opportunities around schools engagement, lived experience voices, community recognition and strengthening connections across the county.

We look forward to working with Maynard throughout his year in office and thank him for taking the time to visit us.

With the recent spell of hot weather we've been having, we thought it would be a good idea to reshare our summer donations list ☀

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us so far!

At the moment, there are a few items we’re particularly running low on and urgently need:
👕 Small size t-shirts
👖 Joggers (S/M)
🧻 Baby wipes
🥫 Non-perishable food

These essentials make a real difference to the people we support, especially during the warmer months when access to clean clothing, hygiene items and food is so important 💚

🌡️ Temperatures may be soaring today, but our teams aren’t slowing down.

Maggs staff are still working across the county, making sure we’re there for anyone who may need support — checking in, offering help, and keeping people safe in the heat ☀

Hot weather can be especially challenging, and even dangerous, for people experiencing homelessness. Simple essentials can make a huge difference.

Right now, our most needed items include:

🧢 Hats and lightweight clothing
🥤 Soft drinks
🧻 Toiletries

☀️ Service Update – Hot Weather (Monday the 25th of May) ☀️

With the warm weather continuing, we want to let people know that our Worcester Day Centre will be open tomorrow for anyone who needs a safe, welcoming space to cool down, rest, and access support.

Please note that our Clothing Project will be closed.

At the beginning of this week, we were preparing for rain ☔

Now, with this weekend’s warmer weather forecast, we’re urgently in need of:

☀️ Suncream
🧢 Sun hats
💧 Bottles of water

For people experiencing homelessness and severe hardship, hot weather can quickly become dangerous — particularly for those sleeping rough or spending long periods outdoors without access to shelter, hydration or protection from the sun.

If you are able to donate any of the items above, please drop donations into our Clothing Project:

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful team at LUSH UK in Worcester for their generous donation of toiletries 🫧

✨ These lovely products have now been shared with our Connection Project in Kidderminster — our new women’s group — where they’ll be given out over the coming weeks as a small treat for those attending.

It’s gestures like this that help create a warm, welcoming environment, and remind people that they are valued, supported, and cared for.
