Well done Matthew it’s great to see your support for active travel especially now as the Leader of Worcestershire County Council! 🚲💚👏😊

Thanks to Bike Worcester for inviting me to their Critical Mass bike ride today. I used to ride with them many times but have been too busy recently to join.
Bike Worcester is a great group that I am happy to say I was involved in setting up, many years ago. They have grown a lot since then.
I hope that we can work together over the coming year to improve active travel in Worcester and across the county.

Huge congratulations to the wonderful Councillor Tor Pingree on becoming Worcester’s new mayor!

Huge congratulations to the wonderful Councillor Tor Pingree on becoming Worcester’s new mayor!

A new Mayor of Worcester has been appointed and is ready to represent the city at civic events for the next 12 months.
Councillor Tor Pingree (pictured below) has taken over the chain of office after being voted in at last night’s (Tuesday 12 May) Worcester City Annual Council meeting.
She takes over from the ceremonial Cllr Dr Matt Lamb following his year in the role.
Cllr Karen Holmes has been elected as Deputy Mayor.
Cllr Pingree’s chosen charity for her mayoral year is Onside Advocacy and her theme for the year is ‘community’.
