We said goodbye to Cadet Warrant Officer Ali as her cadet career came to an end. During her time serving on 241 she achieved her Gold Duke of Edinburgh, a Cadet 50 on the L98 Rifle, a Cadet 100 on the L81 rifle, the Cadet Method of Instruction qualification and Jack Petchey award to name a few. Cadet Warrant Officer Ali made the most out of her time as a cadet, attending Air Experience Flights multiple times, Wing camps, and competitions as well as supporting the social media and NCO team.

We wish her the best of luck for the future!

We recently bid farewell to Cadet Warrant Officer Baranwal. Since joining the Squadron on the 24th April 2019 he has taken part in a wide range of activities the Air Cadets has to offer, including flying, gliding, adventure training camps, Remembrance and VE Day parades, fieldcraft, sports, shooting competitions, and mountaineering trips to the Lake District and Snowdonia National Park.

He earned a Cadet 50 badge on the L98 Rifle, collected his Gold Duke of Edinburgh award at Buckingham Palace, and was awarded a Jack Petchey and the Briner Shield trophy, titling him the best cadet on the Squadron in 2025.

Cadet Warrant Officer Baranwal is a true testament as to what can be achieved in the Air Cadets. We wish him the best of luck as he goes on to study Engineering at university.
