💙 In Loving Memory of Bev Roberts 💙
We are saddened to hear of the passing of our dear past colleague, Bev Roberts.
Bev joined HaywardBefriending many years ago when we needed experienced, golden-hearted support workers to strengthen our Birmingham team. Later, when we opened our Hayward Community Living supported living service, it was only natural that Bev wanted to be part of the houses — because helping others was simply who she was.
She never judged. Bev supported people regardless of age, sexuality, or disability, always seeing each person for who they truly were. She was a strong advocate for those without a voice and never afraid to challenge anyone who sought to exploit others.
True to her nature, Bev was open, honest, and always spoke her mind — good or bad — and that authenticity was just one of the things that made her such a special part of our team.
Although Bev moved on from our services many years ago, her kindness, strength, and spirit have left a lasting mark on HaywardBefriending and Hayward Community Living.
Rest in peace, Bev. You will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. 🕊️💙
