🧘‍♀️🌳 PARK YOGA – THIS SUNDAY: CHANGE OF VENUE 🌳🧘‍♂️

A gentle reminder for all our Park Yoga Wokingham fans that this Sunday's session (14th June) will take place at Langborough Recreation Ground (RG40 2BS) at 9.30am.

This is a one-off venue change due to an event taking place in Wokingham town centre throughout the day.

🚗 Please continue to park in Cockpit Path Car Park, as Langborough Recreation Ground is just a short walk down the lane beside the car park.

✅ Normal service will resume the following week at our usual location.

We hope you're enjoying the sessions so far, and we apologise for any inconvenience this temporary change may cause.

🎨☀️ Fancy something a little different this Sunday?
Why not spend the day soaking up some sunshine and creativity as Wokingham 'En Plein Air' brings the town to life on 14th June! 🌳🏛️🖌️

Think Landscape Artist of the Year, but right here in Wokingham! Artists of all abilities will be setting up at locations across the town, capturing the views in front of them and creating their own masterpieces against the clock. 🎨⏰

Take a stroll around town, discover the artists at work, enjoy our beautiful streets and green spaces, and watch the artwork take shape throughout the day.

🖼️ From 4pm, head to Market Place for the open-air exhibition, where you can view (and even buy!) the finished pieces, vote in the People's Choice Award, and see who takes home the prizes. 🏆

The awards ceremony starts at 6pm

You could mak a day of it: stop off at your favourite café or restaurant or follow the Mosaic or Blue Plaque Trail whilst youre out and about☕🍰

⚠️😔 Elms Field Play Park Trampoline Update 😔⚠️

We're sorry to say that the children's trampoline at Elms Field Play Park will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

We received reports that a group of youths had ripped up sections of the protective matting surrounding the trampoline. While some of the missing pieces were recovered from various locations around the park and field, several sections have been damaged beyond repair or are still missing.

🔧 We are currently working with our suppliers to source replacement parts and get the trampoline back up and running as quickly as possible. We will share an update and expected timeline as soon as we have more information.

It's disappointing that the actions of a few can impact so many children and families who enjoy this much-loved facility. 💔

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out the necessary repairs. 💚

🎉🌦️ Party in the Park – what a day! 🌦️🎉

Saturday 6th June was definitely a brolly up, brolly down kind of day ☔😎, but that didn't stop you from coming along and making it an unforgettable event!

We had raincoats, we had glam, we even had some wellies and we had fun.

From the sounds of Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, the fantastic Oasis tribute bands, and the full-on party atmosphere from Seven, the park was absolutely packed and buzzing all day long 🎶🎤🕺💃.

😊 Smiles all around, rain or shine!

A huge thank you to our event organiser, our amazing BSL interpreters, all the bands, our street food vendors, local businesses and most of all you lot for bringing the energy. ❤️

👏 Full credit, Wokingham – you really know how to party, and we loved having you there!

🐞🏨 Move over five-star hotels… the bugs of Wokingham are moving into luxury accommodation! 🌿🐛✨

Our amazing Wokingham in Bloom sponsors SecureHeat have been incredibly busy along side our bloom volunteers over the past few weeks building bug hotels 🪵🐞, creating beautiful herb wall planters 🌱 and insulating water tanks across our Wokingham in Bloom locations 💧🌸

What a team! 👏💛 A huge thank you to all the Secure Heat employees who have put so much effort, care and creativity into these fantastic projects.

Not only do they look brilliant, but they’ll also give local school children the chance to nurture the plants 🌿 and keep an eye on all the bugs and creepy crawlies checking into their new hotels 🐜🪲🐌

We’re not sure who’s more excited… the children or the insects! 😄🐛

Schools included: Keephatch Primary, St Paul's, All Saints, Wescott, Westende, St Teresa's, St Cecilia's and Embrook infants, plus the Embrook Eco Rangers programme.

We can’t wait to see them bursting into full bloom after last year’s spectacular and long-lasting displays 🌼😍

A watering programme is in place 💧🚿, now we’re just hoping the weather is kind to us this year… sunshine, not sizzle! 😎🌞🔥
