The creator of the " Making Surrey Safer Plan" has "unexpectedly" resigned from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. We welcome a new CFO who actually listens to the fire fighters, and the public, who will reverse the cuts made. Behind the scenes we are in dire straights, change is needed, and not a day too soon.

***News Just In*** Over a third of Surrey Firefighters have applied to join London Fire, and leave Surrey, this figure doesn't include the junior officers, that London are now looking to recruit. If you valued your staff, why would they leave??

Unfortunately, we did not have enough firefighters last night. So your usual level of fire cover was not there. No fire engine was sent in to keep your fire cover immediate. Instead Chobham and Chertsey had to attend 4 separate incidents. Cuts to fire cover have consequences. Remember that when you vote in your local elections in May

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service has NOT had £33m extra investment. This is our total annual budget. More mis-truths once again.
