Cogges Walled Garden

Cogges Walled Garden Dedicated to the splendid Volunteers who make the Walled Garden at Cogges Manor Farm the enchanting place that it is. Why not join in?

The Walled Garden at Cogges Manor Farm is one of the location's key attractions, both for visitors and volunteers. In June 2011, when the Farm was reopened as a Heritage attraction after several years of closure (read about this at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cogges_Manor_Farm) the garden was a mass of weeds. A year later it had been transformed into a productive garden, much as it would have been when the farmers who lived in the House relied on it to feed them throughout the year.

The Garden when Cogges' resumed normal working for volunteers on 4 January 2022. A momentary brightening of the sky enabled a panorama of the Garden that was unusually empty of people.
The weather was much more gloomy than it looks in the photo -
Google Photos fixed the lighting!
But contrast this with the previous photo taken in November 2021
