As the annual tradition of switching on the Christmas lights returns, come down to the station from 5:15 PM onwards for a fun-filled evening!

Meet the crew, enjoy a warm drink and a sweet treat, and even have a go at spraying water like a real firefighter! Bring the whole family, soak up the Christmas spirit, and help us light up Winslow for 2025, all while raising money for the Firefighters’ Charity.

Let’s make it a festive night to remember! 🎄🚒✨

📣Proud to have one of our officers, Lee, represent at the Ceremony of Remembrance in London on Sunday 9 November.

It was a chance to come together with other fire and rescue services and other uniformed civilian services to reflect and honour the bravery and sacrifice of all those that gave their lives.

Lee was part of the static guard of honour around the cenotaph on the day.

Our On-Call Firefighters attend one drill night per week to train, learn and develop their skills so they can be at their best when their communities need them. 👨‍🚒

Last night, our crew at Winslow headed to Buckingham on a standby move, they utilised this opportunity to carry out a pumping drill, focusing on using water supplies from different sources.

that in the event of an emergency if there isn't a hydrant available, our crews could take water from open sources like lakes or even swimming pools.

It's a no from NFCC for using sky lanterns this New Year's Eve! They're a huge fire hazard putting people and animals at risk not to mention the additional pressure they pose for fire and rescue services and the NHS.
