Our Story
Formed as mounted cavalry in 1794 to counter the threat of invasion during the Napoleonic wars, seen service as machine gunners, artillery, armor, infantry and now signalers, serving within the Royal Corps of Signals. Today, 94 (Berkshire Yeomanry) Signal Squadron is based in Windsor and Chertsey, providing rapid deployment of reliable and robust communications with the additional requirement of resilience; helping to connect others during adversity.
94 (Berkshire Yeomanry) Signal Squadron is a Royal Signals Reserve unit, part of 1st (United Kingdom) Signal Brigade, based in Gloucester and commands, prepares and generates forces which are held at high states of readiness to support current and future military operations all over the world. Much of the time is spent working hard and training, one night a week in the Army Reserve Centre and at least two weekends on exercise. We currently have vacancies for: Chefs, Mechanics, Drivers, Store-men, Radio Operators, Technicians, Telecommunications Engineers, Administration Clerks and Young Officers. No previous experience necessary and we will pay you to train! If you are interested, please call us on 01753 860600 or 39sig-94-psao-gov.mod.uk
