We provide information, signposting and services.

- We respect and promote the rights of people with a learning disability and their families to speak up on issues both locally and nationally
- We aim to raise awareness, change attitudes and influence policy
- We invite anyone with a learning disability and their families and friends to become members

Some of our dedicated Boxing group received their Level 1 and 2 certificates at Wi******er Boxing Club - Prodigy Sport Academy CIC show last weekend.

Well done to all the boxing group and thank you to the coaches for such dedication to our members.

Well done to our member Edwin, who won a Goalball tournament at the weekend and was named Player of the Day! 👏🏆

What is Goalball?

Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for people with a vision impairment. Teams compete to score goals by throwing a ball with bells inside it into their opponents' goal. Players use their hearing to track the ball and defend their goal, making it a unique and exciting sport. The ball is always thrown by hand - never kicked!

At our Go US session today, we took a moment to celebrate and thank our amazing volunteers who support Wi******er Go LD week in, week out.

Our volunteers make such a difference to the lives of our members, and we wanted to hear why they choose to give their time to Go LD. This is what they told us:

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the fantastic golf day at Corhampton Golf Club ⛳️

Thanks to the incredible efforts of Nick and Jo Lowe, an amazing £1,250 was raised for Wi******er Go LD 👏

The day included five “Closest to the Pin” challenges and plenty of great golf, all in support of our work with adults with learning disabilities.

We’re also very grateful to the businesses who donated prizes: Sydenhams, Kyoto Kitchen Wi******er, Rock Face For Men, The Brushmakers Arms,Upham, Wellow Golf Club and East Horton Golf Club.

Your support makes a real difference - thank you! 💙

At our Go Connect group we had the privilege of a private concert with Lumas Winds.
Our members were entranced by the beauty of the music and finding out more about the musicians and their instruments.
Thank you to Wi******er Chamber Music Festival for supporting us at Wi******er Go LD and to Lumas Winds for such a lovely concert. 💕

In our latest Go ME session, we’ve been focusing on what keeps us well 💕

Some of our members created their own Wellness Box 📦 (filled with things that support their wellbeing) and shared it with the group 😊

Edwin decorated his box 🎨, while James found an old sewing 🧵 tin, and Mike, one of our volunteers, reused an old biscuit 🍪 tin!

We'll be sharing our learning with everyone at the next Go US session on Tuesday 😃

Yesterday we were invited to spend some time with the Mayor of Wi******er at Abbey House.

We had a quiz and a tour of the beautiful building and we then presented Sudhakar the Mayor with our artwork about what we all love about living in Wi******er.

Thank you to the Mayor and all involved for such an enjoyable and interesting evening Wi******er City Council
