๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ Meet Your Local Team ๐Ÿ‘‹

Iโ€™m PC Kate Davies (0414). Iโ€™ve been a police officer for 24 years and have spent the last 5 years working in this community.

I joined policing because I wanted to make a positive difference, and thatโ€™s still what drives me today. What I enjoy most about neighbourhood policing is being able to see the impact of the work we do, helping to make this a better place for people to live and work.

Before joining Dorset Police, I worked in banking, and during my career Iโ€™ve gained experience across response, intelligence, and CID.

A key part of my role is safeguarding vulnerable people, which I find particularly rewarding. Supporting those who need it most is something I take great pride in.

When you see me out on patrol, I want you to feel reassured and safe. If you ever feel nervous about speaking to a police officer, please remember Iโ€™m just a person like anyone else, and Iโ€™m here to help.

When Iโ€™m off duty, I like to relax and recharge.

One thing to know about meโ€ฆ I really donโ€™t like litter โ€“ so please help keep our area clean! ๐Ÿšฏ

And finally, itโ€™s tea all the way for me โ˜•

Stay safe and I look forward to seeing you out and about ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿš“ Neighbourhood Policing Weekly Update Verwood/Alderholt/Three-legged Cross

Over the past week, your local neighbourhood policing team has continued to work proactively to address community concerns and keep our area safe.

โœ… Drug Investigation
Officers investigated and interviewed an individual in connection with the possession of controlled drugs. Tackling drug-related activity remains a priority, and we will continue to pursue intelligence-led enquiries to help keep our communities safe.
โœ… Community Contact Point
PC Julia (1757) and PCSO Juliet attended the Morrisons Community Contact Point Saturday 5th October 2026, speaking with numerous members of the public about issues affecting the local community. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us. The information you provide helps us identify local priorities and target our patrols where they are most needed.
โœ… Mobile Police Station
On 3 September 2026, the team hosted a Mobile Police Station, providing residents and local businesses with an opportunity to speak directly with officers. We engaged with members of the public, discussed community concerns, and gathered valuable intelligence relating to recent shoplifting incidents affecting Tesco Express and Morrisons. We appreciate the information shared and will continue to work with retailers and the community to address these issues.
โœ… Intelligence Gathering and Patrols
The team is currently developing intelligence regarding suspected drug-related activity in Verwood, Alderholt and Three-Legged Cross. We encourage anyone with information that could assist our enquiries to report it via the Dorset Police website or anonymously through Crime stoppers.

๐Ÿ‘ฎ If you see us out on patrol, please feel free to stop and speak with us. We are always keen to hear about any concerns you may have and discuss issues affecting your neighbourhood.
Thank you for your continued support.

๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ Meet Your Local Team ๐Ÿ‘‹

I'm Sergeant Paul Craig (2494), and I've recently joined the local Neighbourhood Policing Team. While I've only been in this role for a few weeks, I've been a police officer for 20 years and am excited to be back on NPT.

Growing up in an area affected by high levels of crime and deprivation, I saw first-hand the impact that crime and ASB can have on individuals, families, and entire communities. Those experiences inspired me to join the police!
Neighbourhood policing has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I previously worked in neighbourhood policing between 2009-12 before moving into a variety of other roles across the organisation. Throughout my policing career, I've always valued the opportunity to work closely with local people, build relationships, and tackle the issues that matter most to our communities. That's why I was delighted to return to neighbourhood policing and join the team.

Before joining Dorset Police, I worked in several roles, including developing software for a large financial services company. Since joining policing, I've gained experience across a wide range of departments, including:

โœ… Patrol
โœ… CID
โœ… Tutor Unit
โœ… Bespoke Operational Roles
โœ… Governance

When you see me or members of the team out on patrol, I want you to feel reassured that we're here and approachable. If you've ever felt nervous about speaking to a police officer, please don't be. We really are here to help. We are all approachable and would love to speak with you.

When I'm off duty, I enjoy spending time with family and friends ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ, and when it comes to the important question... you'll find me happy with either tea or coffee! โ˜•๐Ÿต

I look forward to meeting many more of you in the weeks and months ahead. ๐Ÿ‘‹

๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ It has been a busy couple of weeks for your local Wimborne neighbourhood policing team! ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

We've been out and about across Corfe Mullen, Wimborne and Sturminster Marshall, carrying out high visibility patrols and speaking with members of our communities and businesses along the way.

Over the past 2 weeks, we've also:

โค๏ธ Provided reassurance and support to victims following reports of rogue traders in the Corfe Mullen and Wimborne area.

โค๏ธ Arrested a suspected shoplifter in Wimborne, who is currently assisting us with our enquiries.

โค๏ธ Assisted with a joint operation alongside immigration colleagues at a business in East Dorset. We'll share more details about this when we can.

โค๏ธ Continued our regular checks at vulnerable properties across our patch, helping to keep an eye on those who may need a little extra support or safeguarding.

โค๏ธ Spent some time with the Corfe Mullen Youth Trust, continuing to build on our partnership and looking at ways we can work together to support young people locally.

โค๏ธ We've also been working closely with our response colleagues, sharing information and tackling local issues together.

There's often plenty happening behind the scenes as well as the things you see us doing out on patrol, but being visible, approachable and working alongside our communities remains a big part of what we do ๐Ÿ’™

See you around ๐Ÿ˜Š

PCSO Nikki
