Team Firefly F24 racing their most advanced car at the Greenpower Goodwood International tomorrow. This vehicle is protected by Helios Fire Systems Ltd AMFE battery fire protection systems. We all look forward to hearing how you all get on. 🏎️🏎️💨💨🏁🏁

As we rest before the international final tomorrow, we thought it would be interesting to reflect on the various upgrades the team have done to FF03 since March this year.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of everyone in the team from the 4th form who started last year to the U8th who have moved on to university this term. We also couldn’t have done what we’ve done without the support from our sponsors and The Kusuma Trust.

We also want to thank the school for letting us do all this crazy engineering and Arthur, Mr Clark and Mr Hartfield for helping us out.

Our Atexon Spark Detection and Explosion Protection systems are used in multiple environments - anything from the mechanical woodworking industry, Recycling facilities, wood processing plants, pellet manufacturing, or any industrial environment that uses crushers, elevators or sawmills.

Helios Fire Systems strengthens its operations division with a new appointment

In response to the continued demand for Advanced Targeted Fire Suppression Systems (ATFS) throughout 2020 and 2021, Helios Fire Systems has appointed Helen Sinton as Operations Manager, to further bolster the team’s success.

Helen’s background in operations within both wood recycling and chipboard manufacturing industries means her existing knowledge of fire prevention and suppression alongside procedural expertise makes her the perfect fit for Helios.

Helen will oversee projects from initial consultation through to commissioning and staff training, alongside Adie Mason. Adie has been promoted to Head of Operations, after joining Helios from its inception six years’ ago. His promotion will allow the team to expand its project capacity and continue to offer the best in fire suppression systems and products.
