NIGHTMARE AT MANCHESTER AIRPORT: CRIMINAL PARKING OPERATIONS RESURFACE

Exclusive: Travellers warned as notorious Manchester parking scandal strikes again

Air passengers using Manchester Airport are being warned to steer clear of illegal off-site parking schemes after rogue parking operators have re-emerged, sparking serious concerns for both vehicle safety and traveller peace of mind.

The notorious site at Lode Hill on Altrincham Road, Styal, Wilmslow
SK9 4LH is back in action, despite a history of fraud and criminal activity linked to it. Operating under the familiar websites https://www.meetandgreetmanchesterairportparking.co.uk/
https://meetandgreetmanchestercarpark.co.uk/
https://www.parkandridemanchesterairportparking.co.uk/ these sites have been at the centre of controversy for years. Alarmingly, they have resumed their shady operations, with hundreds of cars parked on-site, spilling over onto the roadside, creating a chaotic and illegal parking situation.

Shocking New Developments

We are strongly urging travellers to avoid Lode Hill and any parking services linked to it. Manchester Parking Services Limited, a company registered on 12 June 2024, under company number 15773824, is behind the operation. The proxy director, Haroon Naeem, registered the company at 1 Millwood Close, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle, SK8 6SU. Interestingly, he also has companies registered to another nearby property. However, the real shadowy figures pulling the strings behind the scenes are, again, the notorious Khan family.

The Khan Crime Syndicate

Sultan Khan and Mohammed Isaq Khan, both well-known to Trading Standards and the Courts, are believed to be the true beneficiaries of the shady parking scheme. Using proxy directors such as Haroon Naeem who takes a 20% cut of the profits, has been linked previously to parking activities at Gatwick and Heathrow airports. Mohammed Isaq Khan, who was jailed last year for fraudulent parking activities at the former family home of Davenport Green Hall, has recently completed a 17-month prison sentence. Shockingly, he is set to return to Manchester Crown Court (Minshull Street) on 21st October 2024 for a Proceeds of Crime hearing, raising questions about the profits generated from their illicit ventures.

These underhanded dealings are not limited to Manchester. The Khan family's criminal operations extend across the UK and globally, with ties to parking fraud schemes at multiple airports and ports. Our research shows the family has joined forces with another known and previously jailed parking criminal entity to expand their unlawful grip on airport parking services nationwide. (that story to follow soon)

Dubious Business Practices

Further digging reveals that Sultan Khan's company, Airport Parking Services Global Ltd, now uses the default address registered at Companies House for correspondence, making it harder to trace their operations. Like his father, Sultan Khan is himself awaiting trial at Minshull Street Crown Court regarding further fraudulent trading claims.

The new owner of Lode Hill, Martin Kemp, submitted plans earlier this year to resume parking operations at the site, however, those were later withdrawn. Subsequently, his two companies, LODE HILL CAR PARK LTD Company number 14847224 and LODE HILL CP LTD (14133666) were subsequently dissolved.

Travellers are advised to be extra vigilant and avoid using ANY parking services associated with this fraudulent network. Specifically, DO NOT use parking services under the trading style of “Gumtree,” regardless of which airport or port they claim to service. The following parking products linked to Manchester Airport should be avoided at all costs:

- GUMTREE Meet & Greet Manchester
- Meet & Greet Manchester with Car Wash
- GUMTREE Park & Ride Manchester Airport Parking
- Meet & Greet Manchester Airport Parking
- Park & Ride Manchester Airport

we also include the following websites
https://manchesterairportparkings.co.uk whose corporate identity is currently not known
https://www.meetandgreetlondoncityairportparking.co.uk/ Aurangzaib Akbar Cheema a director of SC Parking limited company number 15892056

A National Scam

This parking scam is not limited to Manchester Airport. Investigations reveal that similar schemes are being operated at Birmingham and Luton airports under different aliases. Beware of any websites or parking products that use the customer service number: 020 812 33 969. Specifically, avoid these websites:

- https://lutonairportparkingsolutions.co.uk

Protect Yourself

Manchester Airport are urging travellers to use only official airport parking services or well-known, reputable companies to avoid falling victim to these schemes. If you’ve booked parking and have concerns, immediately check your provider’s credentials and consider cancelling your reservation.

Stay safe and vigilant when booking your airport parking!

'OWNER' OF Lode Hill, Styal, Cheshire TURNS THE SITE IN TO AN UNATHORISED 'TIP'
The site has lain dormant since the Police forced closure of the site for airport parking.
Since then, 'hundreds' of tipper trucks and earth moving vehicles have been seen entering the site.
A large earth mound was created to conceal the unathorised works from the public.
Given the steady destruction of the site by the 'owner', we thought the concerned public would like to be made aware of the past history of Lee Alan Brown who turns out to have a dark secret.
The site is still, as far as we are aware' subject to ongoing ownership litigation. The receiver is trying to recover title, which is held in trust in the Seychelles.

LODE HILL SK9 4LH SCAMMERS TO BE FINALLY SHUT DOWN. Unofficial off-site Manchester Airport parking companies are to be kicked off the site by Manolete Partners PLC. The company have purchased the litigation rights to the site and intend to close and secure it imminently. The site will be then sold off, hopefully within the next 6 months. A 'secret' £3 million sale of the site took place in 2017. However, the title was never transferred from Lee Alan Brown to Drake Estates Property Company Ltd. That transfer should be completed soon were told. The sale is only possible due to an illegal Ponzi scheme which saw £11.5 million worth of investment car park spaces sold to unwitting investors. Rather than a high-tech car park promised them at Lode Hill, many of our readers will come to know the site as little more than an insecure muddy field, whose businesses are operated by 'criminals!' The two companies behind the scheme, Aston Darby Group Ltd and Drake Estates Property Company Ltd, were wound up in July 2020 by the High Court. We are sure this move by Manolete will come as good news to all the car park businesses former clients. This will no doubt, be not so good news to Mohammed Isaq and Sultan Khan, the people actually behind this and other UK wide scamsites. More on their story later.

The saga of Lode Hill Altrincham Road Styal Wilmslow SK9 4LH, Aston Darby Group, and Drakes Estate Property Company, update. 13/03/2022.

To recap, both Companies persuaded clients to invest more than £25 million in 'state of the art' parking spaces at Lode Hill, Styal and a site nr Glasgow airport. Following the Court winding-up in 2020 of Aston Darby Group ltd and Drakes Estate Property Company Ltd, the details below are extracted from the Liquidators’ progress report for the period 09/07/2021 – 08/0/2020 published 26 August 2021

“Aston Darby Group Limited (In Liquidation)”

Solicitors’ Womble Bond Dickenson were instructed by Liquidators of The Companies. From the advice received, it has been determined that the Car Parks are assets or potential assets of Drakes Estate Property Company Ltd only. Any potential claims identified during the initial enquiries have now been assigned to Manolete Partners PLC. Manolete are a highly respected Litigation Purchaser, who has initially paid £2,5000 in consideration to Aston Darby Group Ltd (in liquidation). Further realisations are dependant upon any litigation claims lodged. The liquidation Committee approved the engagement of Manolete.

The interim report to the Winding-up Court clarifies that, “all investors’ claims are against Drakes Estate Property Company Limited, and not against Aston Darby Group as Drakes Estate Property Company is the entity that a) has title to Harbour Road and b) has beneficial title to Lode Hill, i.e., the entity that has freehold (or beneficial freehold) of the land upon which each car parking space exists.”

Furthermore, as regards the car park at Lode Hill, Altrincham Road, Styal, Wilmslow, SK9 4LH, Manolete will; “engage with all connected entities and their advisors to determine circumstances of original purchase in 2017 to ascertain ownership/title as title at date of liquidation was neither in the name of Aston Darby Group nor Drakes Estate Property Company.” and “Review lease position of investors that purchased spaces including a review of the Purchase Agreement, the Lease, the Sub-lease, and the Management Agreement.”

“Note: for Lode Hill, as title is not in the name of Aston Darby Group or Drakes Estate Property Company, no site visit has taken place”

BBC One’s Rip Off Britain Holidays Series 10 returns on Monday 17th January 10:00 am. We can now reveal that in episode 2, Tuesday 18th January of the new series, we believe our favourite rogue unofficial off-site Manchester Airport parking scammers over at a squalid, insecure Lode Hill, Styal SK9 4LH, will be featured. The episode should feature interviews with some of their less than happy former ‘victims’ who have some horrendous stories to tell. And in case you hadn’t already guessed, we were asked to put researchers in touch with their former clients, all of whom appeared on this and our other pages! Always happy to help! 😊

LODE HILL - Secretly sold for £3 million in 2017.
After Cheshire East Council refused planning permission for a 32 bedroom hotel, Lee Alan Brown sold the estate for £3 million to the Aston Darby Group. The Estate was held in an off-shore trust by an agent acting for Aston Darby. For reasons only known to them, the sale was never registered at the Land Registry. Aston Darby Group and Drake Estates were wound up by the Insolvency service in 2020 for running a ponzi scheme which defrauded investors of £11 million for a non existant high-tech car park at Lode Hill.
