Proclamation marking the accession of King Charles III

The public are advised that the Chairman of Wilmslow Town Council, Cllr Frank McCarthy, will be making the proclamation at this very significant and historic occasion.

The Proclamation marks the accession to the throne of King Charles III and is being communicated from a national level through the regions and into our local communities.

Venue: Memorial Gardens, Chancel Lane, Wilmslow

Date: 11 September 2022

Time: 16:00

Please note:  This will be an outdoor event, so please take into account the weather on the day if you plan to attend.  The proclamation is only likely to last a few moments however all are very welcome to attend.

Town centre businesses in Wilmslow have backed plans to create a Business Improvement District (BID).

Businesses voted in favour of the proposals in a ballot held during the past month that, now approved, will see a £1 million investment in the town centre over the next five years.

Frank McCarthy, Chairman of Wilmslow Town Council said, “This is great news and represents a major change in how the town centre is managed. The Town Council have worked hard to support the recovery of the town centre post Covid, and we are delighted to see businesses approving the proposal to create a BID for the town centre.”
