The Wigan Borough Community Safety Partnership in conjunction with DIAS Domestic Violence Centre and partners is holding a safe, friendly drop-in session for those who have been impacted by domestic abuse, or know someone that has.

Join professional advisors for a coffee and a chat at the free drop-in session on Monday 15 June (10am-12noon) at Leisure United, William Fosters, The Grove, Ince, Wigan, WN2 2BU.

Anyone can experience domestic abuse , regardless of age, and we are here to help 🎗️

Good luck to Wigan Warriors as they aim for a historic Wembley double today! 🏉🏆

The Cherry and Whites are competing in both the men’s and women’s Challenge Cup finals — the first time in the club’s history they’ve reached both showpiece events on the same day.

First up, the Warriors Women look to defend the trophy they lifted for the first time last year as they take on St Helens in a repeat of the 2025 final (kick-off 11.45am).

Then attention turns to the men’s side, who face current holders Hull KR in a Grand Final rematch at 3pm.

There’s also guaranteed local success at Wembley, with St Peter’s (Orrell) and The Deanery facing off in the Year 7 Boys Champion Schools final.

Best of luck to all the teams involved — and to everyone travelling to Wembley today, have a safe journey and enjoy the occasion!
