🌟 Just a reminder – our Transition Event is taking place this Saturday! 🌟

Are you starting to think about life after school or college?

This event is a great opportunity for young people with a learning disability, their families, carers, and professionals to meet local Day Opportunity Providers and discover the support, activities, and opportunities available across Wigan.

Whether you're interested in:
✅ Social activities
✅ Building independence
✅ Developing new skills
✅ Volunteering opportunities
✅ Meeting new people

You'll be able to speak directly with providers, ask questions, and explore the options available to help plan your next steps.

Today our Real Work Programme students have taken part in an interview for a new exciting opportunity!

Catherine, Connah and Fran have had an interview with Ali from Craft Hive CIC and Dave from Tudor House Hindley

They all did fantastic and spoke really well about all their skills, previous experiences and what they love.

They were all successful and Ali offered them all a work placement in her new shop CraftHive Cic in Leigh.

This is an amazing opportunity and the students are so excited to start next week.

Men’s mental health matters!

Thomas has a Person Centred weekly gym session in his programme at MTWs.

He’s doing great and it really helps with his mental health and fitness levels!

Jon has been swimming to complete his weekly physio.

Since being there he has made many friends who love to hear him sing his favourite songs. 🎤

After swimming Jon loves to go and have a nice cup of tea 🫖

A brilliant days work for Fran, Ross and Thomas (+ Andy) at Wigan Wallgate station.

The platform is super clean and tidy and the garden is w**d free! 🪏

Hope all the passengers notice the difference on their journeys! 🚂

On a rare Movers Tuesday morning we had a special facilitator - Sue!!! 😊

Sue did some new accessible games to get our students exercising in different ways! 💪

Great fun, lots of exercise and lots of laughs! 🥰

Wednesday mornings are Academy music group!! Focussing on true participation, turning taking, concentration skills and making music in a multi sensory environment!!! And an immersive sound bath every week to close the session is a special treat for everyone! 🙂 These guys are also rehearsing possible tracks for our performance at the Wigan Diggers Festival in September! 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🪇🪇🪇🪇🪘🪘
