The 2025 winner was Lynne Hamnett from Embrace Wigan and Leigh
Lynne hasnโt just shown commitment over months or even a few years, she has given over 25 years of her life to this work. Throughout this time, she has stood beside people, championed their voices, and opened doors that were once firmly closed.
Lynne has inspired, challenged, and never stopped pushing for a world where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else. But what truly sets her apart, is not just what she's done, but how she's done it โ with warmth, relentless determination and an unwavering belief in people and their hidden potential.
Lynne has created something truly special in Wigan, by challenging assumptions, breaking down barriers and inspiring people to think differently about disability.
And even after all these years she is still going strong, still innovating, believing and making a difference.
Huge Congratulations to Lynne.
