Giving This Lawn Some Much-Needed Breathing Room! 🌱

This lawn was struggling with poor drainage due to heavy clay beneath the surface, leaving parts of the garden wet and boggy after rainfall.

To help improve conditions, we carried out a full aeration treatment, creating thousands of holes throughout the lawn before applying gypsum to help break down the clay and improve soil structure.

Benefits of aeration and gypsum application include:

✅ Improved drainage
✅ Reduced soil compaction
✅ Better airflow to the root zone
✅ Stronger, healthier grass growth

Sometimes the issue isn’t what’s happening on the surface—it’s what’s going on underneath.

Check out the video to see the process in action and why aeration can make such a difference to the health of a lawn.

📩 If your lawn stays wet long after rain or feels compacted underfoot, get in touch to see how we can help.

☀️ Dry spell reminder! ☀️

Please remember to keep your lawns watered during the warm weather — especially newly laid turf and recently seeded areas. A good soak in the early morning or evening will help keep your grass healthy.

And don’t panic if your lawn starts to turn brown! 🌱Grass is incredibly resilient and will usually bounce back once we get some rain and cooler temperatures again.

A brown lawn doesn’t mean a dead lawn — it’s simply protecting itself during dry conditions.

🍄 Wondering why mushrooms are suddenly appearing in your lawn?

These clusters are usually a sign of excess moisture and decaying organic matter beneath the soil — often old roots, thatch, or buried wood breaking down underground. While they may look alarming, mushrooms are actually fungi doing their job in nature’s recycling process. 🌱

What should you do if this happens? ✔️Remove mushrooms or mow over them if pets or children use the lawn ✔️ Reduce overwatering and improve drainage where possible ✔️ Rake up mushrooms & organic debris ✔️ Aerate compacted soil to help the lawn dry out faster ✔️ Be patient — mushrooms often disappear once conditions become drier

⚠️Never eat wild mushrooms as some varieties can be toxic ⚠️

A healthy lawn starts below the surface — and sometimes mushrooms are just part of the process!

From grub damage to green grass 🌱

This lawn had been badly damaged by chafer grubs, leaving weak turf and lots of bare patches. We treated the insects, carried out a full scarification to remove the dead material and surface thatch, then overseeded the entire lawn to encourage thick, healthy new growth.

This was done mid February and the transformation speaks for itself 👌

Sometimes the best results come from stripping it back and starting fresh.
