It was a great event, and we found it insightful to hear from businesses operating in sectors such as aviation, local transport, rail and more across the Liverpool City Region! Halton People into Jobs would like to invite HEP partners/employers to attend their next Jobs Fair which will be taking place on Monday 27th April in Widnes.

This is an excellent opportunity for your organisation to come along and meet with local people that may want to apply for a range of roles that you have on offer (live vacancies).

HPIJ has held several Jobs Fairs which have been well attended, resulting in many local vacancies being filled as a direct result of employers attending.

Meet the Seed Funds - April 24th 2026, 10:30am-11:30am @ Sci-Tech Daresbury

This event is to support founders and directors of high potential scale-up science and tech companies who are looking to raise seed and equity funding.

This event will be led by Delyth Edwards of the British Business Bank and you will hear from a selection of equity funds that support investment into companies at Sci-Tech Daresbury:

• The UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund delivered by Future Planet Capital
• The Liverpool Seed Fund Fund delivered by AXM Venture Capital
• LYVA Labs
• Deepbridge Capital
• SFC Capital

The investment funds will outline their fund, what they invest in and how they invest, and any key issues to watch out for.

The event will include a panel discussion where we will take questions from the audience and the objective of the event is to demystify equity funding, give you the ‘investor perspective’ and enable you to understand the key dos and don’ts when it comes to fund raising.
