On behalf of the entire DorsetNines team, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Weymouth community following yesterday’s emergency services football match.
Yesterday was a day we will never forget. A massive thank you to everyone who attended the inaugural DorsetNines event at Weymouth Football Club .
When the clouds opened up, we weren't sure what to expect but despite the early downpour, the community showed up when it mattered most, helping us raise a staggering £4,000+ for our incredible charities, a total that far exceeded our expectations for a first-year event.
A few thankyou's:
• Weymouth FC: For being the ultimate hosts and giving our event a home. We couldn't have done this without your support, guidance and trust in our ideas! The event simply would not have happened without you!
• Our Local Businesses: We are truly in awe of the companies that stepped up to support a brand-new event. Your belief in us means the world and your support was second to none!
• The Stallholders: Thank you for sticking with us despite the morning weather! You helped create an amazing atmosphere for the fans and we're absolutely troopers!
• The Emergency Services: Thank you for turning up and supporting our emergency service family - together we put on an amazing display of emergency vehicles and showcased the resilience of our emergency services! We thankyou for volunteering your time!
The collection continues for our charities - if you we're unable to attend but would like to make a donation, however small you can still make a difference by donating via the link below:

The team hasn't stopped smiling yet, and yes... the 2027 planning has already begun!
