Conservatives councillors know when there’s a problem with how your money is being spent and aren’t afraid to say so.
Weymouth Town Council’s Tumbledown hobby farm was meant to become self-sufficient but loses money every year and those losses are getting bigger rather than smaller.
There’s no doubt that those people who use the farm enjoy it. But we Conservatives look at the big picture, i.e. the interests of everyone in our town during a cost of living crisis.
Conservative councillors hope the farm succeeds but aren’t prepared to subsidise it with your money indefinitely. Its management needs to make it pay its way or we will vote to turn off the money hose.
