On Friday last week, we had our annual squadron meal at the Batch Country House.

A formal three course meal followed by speeches and some awards given.

Congratulations to CDT FLT SGT Green on their promotion which was awarded that night.

As you can see below, the meal was followed by someā€¦ questionable yet awesome dancing! The cadets had a good time and we are already looking forward to next years squadron meal!

My son got out the car and I drove away and left him!
Cadets didn't want me to stay anymore. 5 weeks in they asked me to not stay.
Are you sure?? ...They were very sure.
I waited in the car for a few weeks thinking they'd call me. They didn't.
I drop him off, he walks in himself and I drive away!! OMG!
I'm one of those parents I see that keep the engine running whilst their child jumps out the car and runs in.
I want to cherish this feeling forever and never be complacent with this event.
BECAUSE ITS FRIGGING HUGE!!!šŸ˜²ā¤

The RAF cadets inclusion is the BEST I've ever seen.

Today at a special event I asked if they prefer Tom to step aside of the drill. He isn't as sharp in drills as the rest and let's just say it kindly...not as disciplined and may do anything at any time, probably would be the most crucial time.
The reply was 'absolutely not, he's part of the squadron'. ā¤

That was the answer I'd always dreamed of hearing šŸ’•

No token gesture, no small part or at the back. Right in the midst and treated as an equal.

šŸ„° He did amazing, I was so proud and he loves it.

If I saw this post a few years ago, I'd of thought it not possible. If your thinking the same, I was you.

Weā€™re now only a day away from our intake and we still have space for more attendees!

Thursday the 22nd of September is our intake evening. It will be a 1930hrs arrival and then once the presentation is finished and you have all had a look around, you will be free to ask any questions you like. Family is welcome along with new recruits.
