Last night, June 13th we had a full capacity of 150 fabulous people at the Summer Ball at Weston's Winter Gardens. They came from the Midlands, Devon, South-East and all surrounding areas to dance in this special place in its 99th year of ballroom dancing. At a time when most early twentieth century seaside ballroom pavilions around the country have been demolished or repurposed, Weston's is still dancing and people come from all over the country to enjoy it. The music of Mark Helmore was as beautiful as always and kept us dancing through a glorious sunset, a high tide and Weston at its best.
