A few people now have raised concerns that our previous petition on the "iPetitions" platform was potentially misleading people, because the iPetitions platform (rather cheekily!) ask for a $5+ donation after a person signed the petition, and it's not *entirely* obvious that this donation is going straight to the iPetitions platform to run their service and is nothing to do with us (we are NOT asking for any charitable donations, and were not aware that iPetitions pushed for donations this aggressively from people, sorry!)
After taking some advice & asking platform works best for the council, we have taken the decision to move the petition to Change.org while it's still early days and the lost momentum with ipetitions is minimal.
High Tides @ Birnbeck is a project already underway with lots of different groups and elements all buzzing along to get this island fixed up, however, signing this Petition is YOUR opportunity to join the team NOW and to show your Day Zero support for the project. The larger the petition grows, the easier & quicker our conversations with various council & government groups go and the sooner we can get fixin' 'er up!
