Thank you to everyone who has contacted the Parish Council recently, to report areas around Hutton that require trimming, strimming, or general maintenance.

We are working to address them as quickly as possible.

📢 North Somerset Local Plan 2041

North Somerset Council’s Local Plan 2041 has now been submitted for independent examination. This important document will help shape where housing, employment, transport, community facilities and green spaces are located across North Somerset up to 2041.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the examination process and review the submitted documents.

The Parish Council plays an active part in all local planning issues. It is probably the area of the Council’s role that is best known to the community and which can be of the most importance.

📢 Have Your Say on Bristol Airport Expansion Plans

A major planning application has been submitted by Bristol Airport Limited to expand operations at Bristol Airport.
The proposal includes plans to increase capacity to 15 million passengers per year, along with significant changes such as:
✈️ Runway extension and new taxiways
🚗 Additional parking (including nearly 2,000 extra spaces)
🏗️ Terminal extensions and new infrastructure
🛣️ Highway improvements, including the A38
🌱 Environmental impacts outlined in a full Environmental Statement

This is a major development that could have a significant impact on our local communities, environment, and transport network.

Residents are warmly invited to attend the Annual Parish Meeting:

This meeting is an opportunity to hear updates on parish matters and raise any local issues.

A key topic this year will be the proposed development north of Banwell Road.

The Parish Council is keen to hear residents’ views.
