This page is monitored Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We're a small, friendly, patient-focused NHS General Hospital, with over 2,000 staff who help us deliver a range of excellent clinical services both on-site and in partnership with larger hospitals across Bristol and Somerset. We provide acute and rehabilitation hospital services, and some community health services, to residents of the North Som
erset area – a population of around 212,000 people. Our services include Orthopaedics, a midwife run maternity unit, an Oncology Day Unit, Cardiology, WISH sexual health clinic, day surgery, general surgery and a 24-hour Emergency Department. We also have a Community Paediatric Service, run from two centres in the north and south of our catchment area, and our Seashore Centre for Children and Young People hosts out-patient clinics and has a ten-bed day care ward. A Child and Adolescent Mental Health service is also run by the Trust. We also provide specialist support for elderly patients such as a dementia cafe and stroke services. We provide care to the people of Weston and North Somerset from the very beginning of their life to its later stages. Our patients' well-being is at the heart of everything we do. A clean environment and good facilities are as important to patients in the hospital as their clinical care. We've won national awards for our cleanliness and our food is consistently voted among the best in the region. We cater for all lifestyle and religious dietary requirements and we offer vegetarian, halal, kosher and gluten free options. Our in-patients also benefit from free Wi-Fi and can bring smartphones and other devices with them into the hospital. Patients can also listen to in-house entertainment from our award winning Sunshine radio station. We offer a full chaplaincy service for people of all faiths and we are also able to provide private facilities for our patients through The Waterside Suite where all profits go back into the hospital.
