A crew from Westbury were mobilised to an animal rescue incident today. Upon arrival, A dog by the name of Ruby had found an open drainage tunnel, crawled in and got stuck.
The crew along with the help of Local council, highways maintence, and a few knowledgable locals all worked together to bring her to safety. Well done to all.

2 westbury firefighters successfully completed their 4x4 off-road driving training yesterday, we have an off-road vehicle based at Westbury that helps deal with remote incidents such as field or forest fires 🔥🚒

We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the A36 this morning (31/05).

A car and four motorcycles were involved in a collision at Knook at 10.30am.

Sadly, a man aged in his 60s, who was riding a motorcycle, died as a result of his injuries. Our thoughts remain with his family at this difficult time.

The three other motorcyclists remain in hospital with serious injuries.

A road closure between Deptford and Heytesbury will remain in place into the early hours of Sunday morning (01/06).

Anyone who witnessed the collision who has dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact Wiltshire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 101.

"I am devastated to hear of the tragic loss of two firefighters and a member of the public at the former Bicester RAF site last night. I am also deeply saddened to hear that two colleagues were injured at the same incident.

The thoughts of everyone at Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service are with the families, friends, colleagues and all staff at Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, as well as those affected in the wider Fire and Rescue community."
