Nursery News:
Our maths topic today is big and small. The children enjoyed finding big and small objects from around the classroom and colouring in pictures of big and small apples.

They have also recently enjoyed planting sunflowers and spending time in the forest school area!

Spring has sprung at St James, and we're buzzing with excitement! Thanks to a wonderful Nature Grant, our school grounds are transforming into a biodiversity haven. We've welcomed bug hotels, vegetable and fruit planters, butterfly nesting barns, bird houses, squirrel feeders, binoculars, and bug and plant hunting kits to our outdoor spaces.

Teston class got their hands dirty this afternoon exploring with the bug hunting gear, and the discoveries were amazing! We're thrilled to invite every child and family to join in the nature adventure happening right here on our grounds. Whether you're spotting creatures, or simply enjoying the fresh air, there's something magical waiting for everyone. Keep an eye out for updates and celebrate the wonderful wildlife around us!

Theme Day is this Thursday! To make the day even more magical, we’re running a very special "Lucky Star" competition during lunchtime. The rules are simple:

Book a hot school dinner for Thursday.

Check the bottom of the plate once finished...

If there’s a Lucky Star hiding there, your child wins a prize! 🎁

Please note: You should have already received a Google Form to choose your child's meal, please make sure this is completed to ensure they are entered!

We have one winner per class, so the odds are great! Just a reminder that this is only available to children who have booked a hot school dinner.
