Our suppliers SMS Environmental have funded three of our Community Impact Fund projects with a £4,543.92 social value donation.

🪑 Emmaus Oxford charity received £2,000 for their Resettlement Support project, which furnishes homes for people including refugees and families fleeing domestic violence.

⚽ Arch received £1,488 to run a summer football club for school children from low-income families in Redditch.

💧 River Warriors volunteers received £900 to make environmental improvements to Abberd Brook in Wiltshire.

August Way to Go Hero ⭐

We’re delighted to announce that our July Way to Go Hero is Richard, our Housing Officer.

Richard was nominated for his outstanding support, teamwork and commitment in helping colleagues manage a complex tenancy enforcement case.

Richard stepped up and covered an unforeseen absence in his team without being asked, attending a court hearing and communicating with solicitors.

Our Way to Go initiative celebrates colleagues who truly embody our GSA Way commitments and behaviours.

Skills For Life, our learning disability service, have raised over £500 at their annual summer fundraiser! 💰🎉

Customers were heavily involved in planning the event, with some even running their own stalls, helping to make the day a real success. Friends, families and customers joined in the fun, enjoying games and stalls including a cake sale, tombola and bric-a-brac.

The funds raised will go towards in-house session supplies, customer outings and activities, helping us continue to provide meaningful experiences for the people we support.

On Saturday, we held a stall at Queen’s East Community Fun Day in Chippenham. 🎈

The event was a great opportunity for our housing team to meet with local residents who were able to ask questions and share feedback about our social landlord services in Chippenham.

It was a lovely sunny day with plenty of family-friendly activities and refreshments.

We’re proud to be supporting two financial education projects with grants from our Community Impact Fund. 💰

Education Business Partnership received £1,998 to deliver six financial literacy classes in primary schools across Wiltshire.

Rosetinted Financial Services received £1,570 to deliver practical budgeting and debt management workshops for women who have experienced domestic abuse.

🏡 We recently held a community event at our Clent Way scheme in Birmingham, following the start of a project that will deliver 12 additional social rent homes on the site.

Customers had the opportunity to meet our colleagues and construction partner, Harper Group, view plans for the development, and enjoy games, face painting, glitter tattoos and refreshments in the sunshine.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success, and to all the residents who came along to take part.
