Our Planning Committee has resolved to approve Nottingham Forest's plans at the City Ground to increase its capacity.

Leader of the Council Cllr Neil Clarke said: “Given the significance of these latest applications I am very pleased the Planning Committee, through its independent process, saw it fit to grant permission to assist the club with its plans.
"We are very proud they call Rushcliffe home and it’s heartening we can support them further with their aspirations.
“I am pleased that the applications have now been passed and we look forward to working with the club further as they progress.”

🥳 Keyworth Leisure Centre celebrated its half-century last weekend, marking 50 years of health, inspiration and fun to residents from across the borough!

Partners met to mark the event as Mayor of Rushcliffe Cllr Richard Butler addressed attendees and handed over a commemorative board to reflect on the anniversary of its opening in 1976.

In attendance for the celebration was swimming teacher Mary Foston, who is the longest serving member of the leisure centre's team having been in her role for an astonishing 49 years! 👏

♻️ It’s Recycle Week! ♻️

We are joining the rest of the nation to celebrate all things recycling because when we recycle, used materials are turned into new products, saving our planet’s natural resources 💚🌍

Together we can make a real difference if we put the right things in the right bin, more often. The good news is that since March this year you’ve been able to put even more items in your kerbside recycling bins, including ⬇️

✅ Plastic bottles, pots, tubs, trays and tubes
✅ Paper and cardboard
✅ Tins, cans and aerosols
✅ Clean foil and metal food trays
✅ Cartons and Tetra Pak

Just remember to make sure these items are clean, dry and loose before popping them in your recycling bin. Thanks for doing your bit Nottinghamshire! 🫶

We were pleased to see this thief jailed thanks to the help of our investment in CCTV cameras with Nottinghamshire Police and local partners.
Our Cabinet member Cllr Rob Inglis said: “Safer Streets funded CCTV cameras installed in Bingham and elsewhere in the Borough in recent years have again proved invaluable and helped lead to this prosecution.
“The cameras are active 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are accessible through arrangements put in place by the Council to support Police to quickly respond to reports, aiding our partnership work.”
