🍃Our Cabinet is set to discuss the potential creation of three new nature reserves at Meadow Park in East Leake, Springdale Wood in East Bridgford and The Green Line in West Bridgford.
It’s in line with our Nature Conservation Strategy to identify new nature sites and designate them due to their special natural interest and educational value.
Our Cabinet member Cllr Rob Inglis said: "With even more investment and protection, they could allow habitats in these locations to thrive further.
“If agreed, we look forward to working with existing groups associated with the sites to hear where we can work together for the benefit of all.”

As the football World Cup begins this week, we’re continuing to support the White Ribbon campaign dedicated to ending violence against women and girls.

The World Cup is a time when people come together to watch the game and celebrate. But not everyone experiences football in the same way.

Whether you're watching the game in a pub, a bar, or at home, everyone should be able to enjoy the game safely and comfortably. Comments, jokes or ‘banter’ can cross a line and affect whether people feel safe, welcome and respected.

Evidence shows that domestic abuse can increase during major football tournaments, particularly around England matches, which is why raising awareness and promoting safe, respectful environments is so important.
