The last episode of our I Am A Storyteller podcast is out now! ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ

In episode 5, Annie Warren chats with Michelle Dunstan and Lucie Davis, two members of Inspireโ€™s Libraries and Culture Team who worked on the project.

Michelle and Lucy reflect on the I Am A Creator journey, exploring how the project has evolved from its beginnings as I Am A Writer into a creative programme celebrating a variety of art and media forms, while building lasting relationships with community groups and artists year after year.

Poetry for parents with award-winning poet Liz Berry ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ“–

Bring your baby (pre-walkers and pre-talkers) for a gentle hour of grown-up poetry. Slow down and settle in to hear Liz read from her work in a special event for National Poetry Day. This relaxed event is designed for new parents with poems for them, rather than nursery rhymes for the little ones!

Bi-lingual volunteers wanted! ๐Ÿ”Š

We're looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help review translated library information. We've translated the documents covering our library joining procedures and how to use our computer & printing facilities, and are looking for bi-lingual speakers to check them for accuracy and clarity.

We're looking for speakers of any of the following languages:
โ„๏ธ Romanian
๐ŸŒต Lithuanian
๐Ÿ’ Punjabi (Gurmukhi)
๐Ÿจ Arabic
๐ŸŒปLatvian
๐ŸชRussian
๐Ÿ Urdu

By volunteering for this role, you'll help make our library services more accessible and welcoming for people who speak different languages in our communities, and help ensure that important info is easy to understand and culturally appropriate.

This role can be carried out from home or wherever is best for you.

If you'd like to find out more, check out our website: https://inspireculture.volunteermakers.org/get-involved/hour-or-two/inspiretranslationverifiervolunteer/419/
