Your local MP has made many claims. We believe that North Shropshire deserves the truth!
According to Helen’s website, her hard work has “secured the reopening of the Gobowen to Oswestry train line.” Last time we checked the plans were abandoned due to being financially unviable.
Cut through the spin and in reality she’s achieved very little.
The only way to combat these mistruths is to call them out.
North Shropshire deserves better!

No Mow May has rapidly turned into overgrow June, and areas in North Shropshire are looking more run down than ever. Whether that be out of control weeds, grass that’s nearly long enough to hid the bin or rubbish over our streets, residents are telling us daily that they are fed up. Local member, and Oswestry resident, Les Maguire has been out and reported these areas in Cabin Lane.
We’ve also written to the portfolio member at Shropshire Council to ask the questions residents want the answers to!

Residents across North Shropshire are telling us the same thing: parks, verges and public spaces are being left to deteriorate while council tax bills continue to rise. The photographs on this poster were taken in Oswestry, but this is not just an Oswestry problem, we are hearing similar concerns from communities right across North Shropshire.
We have now written to the Shropshire Council portfolio holder responsible for grounds maintenance and street cleaning to ask why standards appear to be slipping and what action will be taken to put things right. Residents deserve answers, and we will continue pressing for them.

Ten days ago, we wrote to the Lib Dem portfolio holder responsible for environmental services after residents contacted us about overflowing bins, litter and the declining condition of our streets.

Ten days later, we are still waiting for a response from David Vasmer.

We will continue raising residents’ concerns directly with those responsible for delivering local services, but it is difficult to provide answers when the council refuses to give them.

Residents deserve to know what is being done to tackle these issues and when they can expect to see improvements.

We’ll keep chasing for answers and we’ll keep holding the council to account on your behalf.

Yet again Labour’s policies are attacking farmers and endangering our rural communities. Ed Miliband will stop at nothing to destroy farmer’s livelihoods. A strong Conservatives voice can help to try and stop him!

We've been contacted by residents concerned about the condition of this pavement on Tilstock Road in Whitchurch.

It's difficult for wheelchair users, parents with pushchairs and anyone with mobility issues to use safely.

Residents tell us they've raised concerns before, yet the problem remains. This is one of many areas in Whitchurch that needs attention, yet residents are being ignored.

We've written to local Lib Dem councillor Gregory Ebbs demanding answers and asking when this will finally be fixed.

Enough excuses. It's time for action.

A fantastic community initiative in Whitchurch, led with the support of former councillor Peggy Mullock, is helping bring people together who are living with cancer.

Sometimes, simply having someone to talk to who understands what you’re going through can make all the difference. It’s great to see local people, businesses and volunteers coming together to create a welcoming space for support, conversation and friendship.

A real example of community spirit in action. 👏

Well done to Peggy, Jenny from from Gallery Flowers and Dan & Josh from Walter’s House!
