New fire safety regulations came into force in England on 6th April 2026, and if you're responsible for a residential building, it's important you understand what's changed 🔥📅

The regulations from 2025 introduced a new process called ‘Residential Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans’ - known as RPEEPs 📝

In short, Responsible Persons are now required to identify residents who may struggle to evacuate without assistance, offer them a person-centred fire risk assessment, and put in place reasonable and proportionate measures to support their safety 🚨🏙
