The Reading Agency has partnered with Universal Music Group UK for this year’s fantastic theme, ‘Read to the Beat’🎵

The challenge is designed for children of all ages and all they need to take part is their own library card. If your child isn’t a library member, you can sign them up for free by visiting your local library.

Today is the second week of ! 📚

As well as talks from support groups and Hertfordshire charities, HiVis sessions for Reading Friends, Page One, and LEGO clubs, and outreach sessions to highlight the services we offer at community hubs, our staff have been 'going all in' on training.

During HiVis Fortnight 2026, we have been working with Guide Dogs UK and RNIB to raise awareness and empathy for what challenges may be faced by those living with vision and print impairments. Thank you to both organisations for such expert training, and to our staff for taking the time to increase support for our borrowers.
