Mary Blue Studios Mary Blue is an international artist living in Norfolk, UK originally from the USA. She paints the fragile coastal landscape.

Her painterly work weaves in written words with layers of jewel-toned colour to reveal the often overlooked effects of time. As an I international artist in Norfolk, these images are my way of “finding home” and are about the ordinary viewed in a new way. Combining modern wit with ancient myths to weave together jewel-toned Tidelands, landscapes that are affected by time and the forces of nature.

I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 under the professorship of renowned landscape painter, Neil Welliver. I have also studied at the Vermont Studio School, the Maryland Art Institute and the American Institute in Avignon, France.
