A great overview from Open Democracy of the Green Party's high expectations across the North of England and Merseyside.

The Greens are already overtaking the Lib Dems as the UK's third party. Here in Wavertree most of the people we've spoken to see us as the obvious choice after Labour have let the city down so badly.

If you're still making your mind up as to how to vote on Thursday please give this a read.

And remember, if you're voting in person:

1) Wear a mask
2) Bring your own pen
3) Vote Green for a fresh start for Wavertree

As the rest of the opposition crumbles, the party traditionally on the fringe has become a viable alternative that serves post-pandemic needs

We're now well into the final week of campaigning for the local elections, and it's been great speaking to local residents over the last few nights.

We now know that we're in with a strong chance of getting David elected on Thursday the 6th. And if David is elected he wants to hit the ground running.

A number of residents around the Chestnut Grove area have been in touch with us asking if it would be possible to set up a residents parking scheme to try and tackle parking problems in the area.

As a first step we're carrying out a survey to gauge support for such a proposal. We'd like to hear from anyone who lives on either side of the High St, or on Mosspits Lane (where similar problems have been reported).

The survey should only take a minute or two to fill out and it can be accessed at: https://actionnetwork.org/forms/residents-parking-survey?source=direct_link

Please share with anyone that you think might be interested in taking part.

A lot of people have contacted us about problems with parking in the streets around Wavertree High Street and on Mosspits Lane. Many people have mentioned that they would like to see a residents parking scheme introduced for the area. Wavertree Greens are now carrying out a residents survey to gauge...

"City left leaderless and rudderless as Labour descends into chaos"

Liverpool Green Party's official response to the news that the Labour Party have torn up their Mayoral selection process, and BANNED all three existing candidates from reapplying.

Liverpool City Council Green Group leader Tom Crone today (Tuesday February 23) called for a ‘Clean-hands Cabinet’ to lead the city out of the chaos caused by Labour dropping Acting Mayor and two other leading councillors as candidates for elections in May. Cllr Crone said: ‘The city has been ...

This is an absolute disgrace - the Labour Party are treating the people of Liverpool with contempt.

Labour are now re-opening their Mayoral selection process. More shocking still they have BANNED all three of the current candidates, including the current Acting Mayor, from reapplying.

The Labour Party need to explain why they have taken this step, and why they consider it appropriate for the city to continue being governed by someone that they have barred from standing for the role permanently.

Shortlisted candidates will NOT be invited to reapply
