Asma Suleman, former Councillor of Holywell ward said: “Despite the disappointment that I am no longer representing you as your councillor, I’m happy that I’ve planted seeds in the form of Active2gather for the youth as that was always my main priority. And this summer, something else is coming for children with additional needs. Thank you to all of you for your support in the last year.”

🌟 A Truly Inspiring Celebration of Hope in Holywell! 💖Rhythms of Hope is a Huge Success!

Our hearts are full after such a spectacular day in Holywell! The "Rhythms of Hope" event was more than just a performance—it was a powerful reminder of the strength and beauty of our diverse community, all coming together for a wonderful cause.
This incredible event wouldn't have been possible without the support of Holywell Councillor Asma Suleman and everyone who attended and contributed.
The day was filled with a tapestry of cultural expression, from traditional music to breathtaking dance performances, that left us all inspired. It truly demonstrated that when we unite, we can achieve amazing things!
A huge thank you to all the performers who shared their talent, to the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and to every member of the community who came out to show their support. Your presence and generosity are making a real difference in the lives of children and their families. Big thanks to Thrive Youth CIC, W3RT and Indradhanushkids Academy too.
We are so proud to be part of a community that cares so deeply. Let's keep this momentum of hope, support, and celebration going!
Check out these wonderful photos from the day! 📸

With the Watford Mayoral and Local Elections taking place on Thursday 7 May, we’re asking for your help to make sure everyone is ready to vote 🗳️

Poll cards have now been sent out across Watford. Following a recent review, some polling station locations may have changed — particularly in Holywell ward — so it’s really important to double-check where you need to go.

Please help spread the word by reminding friends, family and neighbours to:
• Check their poll card carefully for their polling station details
• Not assume it’s the same location as previous elections
• Bring an accepted form of photo ID to vote
• Apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate if they don’t have photo ID (deadline: 5pm, Tuesday 28 April 2026)

Let’s make sure everyone has the information they need to have their say.

There is nothing better than seeing our local tennis courts buzzing with energy! Cllr Asma Suleman has been watching the videos of our young residents enjoying their sessions on the MUGA, and their enthusiasm for the sport is absolutely infectious.

But the Active2gather project is about more than just a great backhand—it’s about building futures.

Boosting CVs & Career Skills
We are so proud that this project is providing a launchpad for students from West Herts College. By funding their DBS checks and bringing them on board as volunteers, we are giving these young people:

Real-world work experience to help them stand out to employers.

Vital CV-building opportunities right here in their own community.

Mentorship roles where they can inspire the next generation of athletes.

It’s a "win-win" for : our younger children get professional sports coaching, and our college students get the break they need to start their careers.

🔥 ONLY 10 SPOTS REMAINING! 🔥
The response has been incredible. We have a capacity of 40 children, and 30 have already signed up! If you want your child to take part, you’ll need to move fast.

As your local Councillor, I’m committed to finding creative ways to support our youth—from the tennis court to the workplace. When we work together, Holywell thrives! 🌹
