🎬 Filming has been taking place at Knutsford Playing Fields, with a unit base in place until 8 June 2026.

We are aware of concerns about the current condition of the park. Once the filming unit has departed on Tuesday, we will carry out an inspection and ensure any damage caused is addressed as quickly as possible.

Hertfordshire has a thriving film and television industry, which brings significant investment to the local economy, supports jobs and local businesses, and helps showcase the county as a great place to live, work and visit.

New figures released by Hertfordshire County Council show productions brought an estimated £29.1 million of economic spend into the county during 2025/26 – more than double the previous year.

The 'South-West Herts Great Big Green Week' is back and better than ever. We have a jam-packed programme with events and activities of all ages from 6-14 June. Find out more at greenwatford.uk/greenweek

💚 Green Festival – 9 June, 10am – 4pm – The June edition of our Sunday Market will focus on all things sustainable, including wildlife organisations and travelling sustainably around the town.

👚 Watford Clothes Swap – 13 June, 10am-1pm at St Mary’s Church. You’ll be able to donate up to 10 unwanted, adult-sized, good quality clothes which will earn you one token per item.

🔧 Watford Repair Cafe – 13 June, 10am-1pm at St Mary’s Church. Running on the second Saturday every month, our volunteers tackle all manner of repairs to reduce waste, save you money and share their skills.

🚲 Breeze bike ride around the Watford Green Loop - 13 June from 12.30 pm to 2pm. A led breeze, ladies only, bike ride starting at Watford Cycle Hub the route is about 6 miles and is mainly traffic free with a few quiet roads

🥘 Bollywood Bites in Watford has received accreditation from Hertfordshire County Council, in recognition of their efforts to offer healthier food options and adopt sustainable practices.

🍛 The Hertfordshire Responsible Food Award is an accreditation that any local business serving food can apply for, to demonstrate that they are promoting healthier eating habits and reducing the environmental impact of their business.

🍲 Bollywood Bites impressed the food award team by demonstrating how even a very small business can champion local health through their fresh, inclusive and colourful menu. focusing on whole, unprocessed foods.

🌶️ Their commitment to sustainability also shone through with their environmentally approach to sourcing and day to day operating helping them to achieve their Silver Award.
