Coming soon!

The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, Read to the Beat, starts in Hampshire Libraries on Saturday 11 July. 📚🎶

This year The Reading Agency is partnering with Universal Music Group UK.

This inspiring collaboration will harness the universal appeal of music to tackle the decline in children’s reading enjoyment and inspire a new generation of readers in the UK.

You can sign up in our libraries, or online through the Kids' Zone on our website, from Saturday 11 July.

1 - 7 June is ! We are so grateful to our wonderful volunteers who support us in so many ways at Hampshire Libraries, so thank you!

Hear from one of our volunteers: 'I volunteer at the library because I genuinely enjoy it. I feel part of the team, and running the popular ChatAbout sessions gives me a chance to help bring people together. It's a small thing, but it means a lot.'

Come in and choose from our great selection of titles by June's Author of the Month, Len Deighton.

Len Deighton was a prolific British author, best known for his gritty and realistic Cold War spy stories. Deighton redefined the genre in the 1960s and introduced us to a new kind of spy: working-class, cynical and very tough... and brilliantly portrayed by Michael Caine when the books became films. Being a spy suddenly became very cool indeed!
