Did you know that the name Hampshire is a derivation from Southamptonshire which still shows up in documents into the start of the 20th century!
We are flying the flag for Hampshire! Saturday 15 July is Hampshire Day, a special opportunity to remember this county's rich history, celebrate our diverse communities and share our pride in Hampshire’s heritage, culture and beauty.
EHDC Chairman, Cllr Anthony Williams, helped raise the flag over Penns Place. He said: "Hampshire has been my home and my family's home for 47 years and I welcome this opportunity to celebrate the volunteers and residents that serve our county in so many ways."
