We are sorry for the power cut today. As a goodwill gesture while you have a power cut, we would like to offer £30 per person to pay towards hot food and soft drinks today. Please send copies of the receipts along with your name, address, contact number and NB9709 as a reference to the following email address [email protected] or by post to Customer Relations, SSEN, Walton Park, Walton Road, Cosham, PO6 1UJ.

SSEN: Thank you for your patience whilst our engineers have been working hard to get the power back on. The damage caused by the strong winds means we're dealing with a very large number of power cuts. That, along with travel restrictions, means it's making it hard to get power restored as quickly as we'd like. We've been able to assess the extent of the damage caused now and because of this, we're now aiming to have your power restored by 4 oclock Wednesday afternoon. We understand this is far from ideal, however we promise we're doing everything we can to get it back on sooner.

If you are still without power the burger van has returned to the village hall this morning, serving free hot drinks and food. Some areas might be without power until 4pm today.
