Throughout September we'll be sharing some common myths that are sometimes connected to fostering teenagers and highlighting the truths.
When people think about fostering teenagers, they sometimes worry that challenging behaviour will define the experience.

The truth is that every young person is unique. While some teenagers may have experienced trauma, instability or loss, these experiences do not define who they are.
Many young people in care are resilient, thoughtful, funny and ambitious. What they often need most is a stable home, understanding adults and someone who believes in them.
By fostering a teenager, you could help them build confidence, develop life skills and achieve their goals.

🌈 What a fantastic day at Pride! 🌈

The Warwickshire Fostering team were proud to be part of the celebrations, meeting so many wonderful people from across our communities and having some inspiring conversations about fostering.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, ask questions, share their experiences, and learn more about how fostering can change a child's life. Events like Pride are a great opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life and highlight that fostering is for people from all backgrounds.

Together, we can ensure more children and young people in Warwickshire have the safe, loving homes they deserve. 💜
