Recognising Service with Medallic Awards. 👏🏻

As part of the Commanding Officers visits to Sub-Units, Lieutenant Colonel Walkworth had the pleasure to present to two of our personnel recently.

Lance Corporal Redington was presented with the Volunteer Reserves Service Medal (VRSM) for 10 years of continuous, efficient service in the British Army Reserves.

Warrant Officer (Squadron Sergeant Major) Class 2 Lancashire who already held the VRSM was presented with a clasp to denote a total of 15 years service.

Both recipients have previously served as Regular Army soldiers and have brought their prior knowledge and skill-set to add such great value to the Army Reserves.

350 Field Squadron (The Robin Hood Foresters), 75 Engineer Regiment joined the Royal Engineers Works Groups yesterday in the village of Melbourne, Derbyshire to remember the tragic loss of 9 Royal Engineer soldiers who were billeted nearby in 1940. We will remember them.

Fancy dipping a toe in the water? 💧

Royal Engineers (Combat Engineers) enable the mobility of the Land Forces in situations that are designed to slow progress of friendly forces, be that wide gaps, minefields, or in this case water obstacles! If it’s variety you seek, look no further.

Every Reserve Royal Engineer completes watermanship training as part of their RE role training. If this has ‘wet’ your appetite, then reach out to us and we’ll throw you a line. 🪢⚓️

What do you do in your spare time? Ever thought about becoming an Army Reservist? 🤔

Our Reservist Officers and Soldiers are twice the citizens. But back-slapping doesn’t pay the bills (or for that family holiday).

Training evenings, occasional weekends & maybe a course totalling just 27 days per year will see you receive daily pay, travel allowance, paid leave and a tax-free bonus for completing your obligated annual training. All fitting around your other important commitments.

After a routine day at work, why not come and slip into something a little more challenging! 💪

Can you comment any other benefits below? ⬇️
