Join as a cadet...

So, are you ready to take the first step towards all the opportunities and benefits that the air cadets can offer you? It's important to know that we're not a recruiting organisation for the Services (but it's great if you decide you want to join later on). We're not interested in anything but you and your potential, and will help you get the most from your experience as a cade

t. Equality is a central part of the Air Cadets’ ethic. The cadet experience is open to everyone, so whatever your nationality, background or ability, whether you're male or female, if you're between 13 and 17 years old you can join us. The maximum age for entry is 17 years old, therefore you can request to join us anytime between your 13th and 18th birthday. If you don't fit into that age group and still want to enjoy all of our activities and more, you could join as a volunteer. Aside from flying, sports, target shooting, adventure training and great fun? You’ll soon find that being an air cadet is its own reward - you constantly see the benefits of your own efforts, building on your achievements and earning BTECs and DoE Awards. You'll be expected to take part in as many of the activities we run as possible, but with what's on offer you won't need much persuading! We have high standards to maintain as we are a 'military' youth organisation and you'll naturally take pride in your uniform (we supply that) and appearance. You'll be well mannered and self-disciplined. You'll be joining an organisation of which you’ll be very proud. What are you waiting for???

This weekend, we were in London, giving our cadets another packed weekend of history, heritage, remembrance and some fantastic experiences along the way.

We started at the RAF Museum, exploring more than a century of aviation and the RAF’s history, before heading into central London for a tour of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace.

Our cadets then had the honour of laying a wreath at the Bomber Command Memorial, remembering the courage and sacrifice of those who served with Bomber Command during the Second World War.

There was also plenty of fun, with a journey through some of the darker chapters of the capital’s history at the London Dungeon, before exploring nearly 1,000 years of history at the Tower of London.

We finished with one of the highlights of the weekend, spending the night on board HMS Belfast, giving our cadets the unforgettable experience of sleeping aboard one of Britain’s most famous historic warships.

Another brilliant weekend for 1330, packed with experiences and memories our cadets will carry with them for years to come. A huge thank you to our staff team for giving up their weekend to make opportunities like this possible.

Yesterday, our cadets enjoyed a fantastic day out at Alton Towers. It was a brilliant opportunity for cadets to relax, spend time together, and create more great memories outside of the Squadron.

Days like these are an important part of the cadet experience, rewarding our young people for their hard work and commitment throughout the year.

A huge thank you to our staff and volunteers for giving up their time to make the trip possible.

On Thursday night, 1330 (Warrington) Squadron once again transformed into a field kitchen as our cadets took on the annual Mess Tin Master Chef Challenge.

Working in teams, cadets put their culinary skills to the test, creating a three-course meal using nothing more than mess tins, portable stoves, and plenty of creativity. With strict time limits and the watchful eyes of the top table judges, the pressure was certainly on!

The standard this year was exceptional, with imaginative menus, excellent teamwork, and some incredibly impressive dishes making the judging no easy task.

A huge congratulations to every cadet who took part and embraced the challenge, and a special well done to this year’s winners. Thank you also to our judges, who had the difficult task of deciding between some outstanding entries.

Earlier this week, six cadets from 1330 (Warrington) Squadron had the fantastic opportunity to take part in an Air Experience Flight.

For many, it was their first opportunity to fly in a military aircraft and experience aviation from the cockpit. It’s an unforgettable experience that gives cadets a real insight into flying and is one of the many unique opportunities available through the RAF Air Cadets.

Experiences like these inspire confidence, develop an understanding of aviation, and create memories that last a lifetime.

A huge well done to all six cadets, we hope you enjoyed every minute of it, and we look forward to seeing many more of our cadets taking to the skies in the future!

On Sunday, we had the pleasure of returning to Christ Church Padgate to give a presentation about our recent overseas trip in February to Berlin and Kraków.

The presentation was our opportunity to say thank you to the church congregation, who very kindly raised funds through a bake sale to help support the trip. Their generosity played an important part in making this unforgettable experience possible for our cadets.

We were able to share some of the highlights from the visit, reflect on what our cadets learned from visiting sites including the Berlin Wall, Schindler’s Factory, and Auschwitz-Birkenau, and explain why opportunities like these are so valuable in developing young people.

On behalf of everyone at 1330 (Warrington) Squadron, thank you once again to everyone at Christ Church Padgate for your incredible support. Your kindness has helped provide memories and experiences that our cadets will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Yesterday, cadets from 1330 (Warrington) Squadron were proud to attend the Warrington Armed Forces Community Support, Party in the Park, celebrating 10 years of supporting our Armed Forces community.

We’re delighted to say that, for the second consecutive year, 1330 were crowned winners of the Inter-Cadet Drill Competition!

Competing against Warrington Sea Cadets and Army Cadets, our team demonstrated the precision, discipline, and teamwork that they have worked so hard to develop. Winning the trophy for a second year in a row is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the dedication of every cadet who took part.

A huge well done to our drill team for representing the Squadron with such professionalism. We’re incredibly proud of you all.

Congratulations to two members of the 1330 team on their recent achievements!

Congratulations to Sgt Ashton on his promotion to Flight Sergeant. This is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work, leadership, and commitment to the Squadron. We look forward to seeing him continue to develop in his new role and lead by example.

Congratulations also to CI Ann-Marie Barton, who has successfully passed her Wing SNCO Board and will now become a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer CFAV. Since joining 1330, Ann-Marie has already made a significant contribution to the Squadron, and we are delighted to see her take this next step. We know she will continue to be a tremendous asset to both 1330 and the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

Congratulations to you both on your achievements. We are incredibly proud to have you as part of the 1330 team and look forward to seeing all that you achieve in the future.

It’s been another action-packed weekend for 1330 (Warrington) Squadron, with our newest recruits spending the day at the RAF Museum Cosford.

The visit gave them the opportunity to explore the history of the Royal Air Force, get up close to an incredible collection of aircraft, and learn more about the people, technology and operations that have shaped air power over the years.

Visits like these are a fantastic way to bring what our cadets learn on parade nights to life, while inspiring the next generation.

A brilliant day out and another great opportunity for our newest cadets to begin their journey at 1330.
