Patient care at NCM depends on many people, including those working behind the scenes.

Peter is a joiner in our Estates Team.

Whether it's carrying out repairs or maintaining our buildings, Peter plays an important role in keeping our sites safe for staff, patients and visitors.

Thank you, Peter, for the important work you do behind the scenes every day πŸ’™

We were proud to join colleagues from across Halton at a wellbeing and cancer screening event organised by Runcorn Primary Care Network (PCN) for people with learning disabilities, their families and carers.

The event provided a safe and welcoming space to learn more about bowel, cervical and breast screening, ask questions and access health information in an easy-to-understand way.

A range of health and wellbeing stalls were available throughout the day, helping people find out more about local services and support.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event a success. Together, we can help more people access screening and make informed choices about their health πŸ’™

What if someone helped you see what's possible?

When Andrew joined the Your Future Your Way programme, he hoped to build his confidence and explore new opportunities.

As a diagnostic radiographer, the experience helped him recognise his potential and think differently about his future.

πŸ’¬ "It has motivated me and made me more aware that this is something I can do and it's something that I am keen to do."

Your Future Your Way supports colleagues from ethnically diverse backgrounds to develop their skills, confidence and ambitions.

Watch Andrew's story and discover how the programme helped shape his aspirations for the future. πŸŽ₯

Kinda proud to work in the NHS πŸ’™

It's easy to think healthcare is all about treatment.

But often it's the small things that people remember most. A friendly face, a bit of reassurance, someone taking the time to listen.

And we think that’s pretty special 🫢

"I think I honestly have one of the best jobs in the world."

Kate Woolford is one of our community dentists at Widnes Healthcare Resource Centre.

She works with a fantastic team who provide dental treatment for adults and children with additional needs.

Kate supports patients who may otherwise find it difficult to access dental care, helping them get the treatment they need.

Thank you, Kate, for helping patients access the care they need when they need it most πŸ’™

πŸ‘‹ Meet Pinky

Pinky works in our domestic services team on Ward B12, the Forget Me Not Unit at Warrington Hospital, our specialist ward for people living with dementia.

One of the things Pinky loves most about her role is bringing a smile to patients' faces each day.

She takes pride in helping patients feel clean, comfortable and as at home as possible during their stay.

Thank you, Pinky, for everything you do to make a difference every day.

A fantastic achievement for our teams πŸ‘

More than 75% of patients were seen, discharged or admitted within four hours in June, placing North Cheshire and Mersey among the top four performing NHS trusts in the North West for A&E performance.

This improvement reflects the dedication of our staff, ongoing improvements to urgent and emergency care, and the support of our communities in choosing the right NHS service when they need care πŸ’™
