A massive THANK YOU to the incredible foster carers and everyone currently in assessment for a fantastic day!
Instead of their usual Foster Care Fortnight walk, St Helens fostering team decided to celebrate foster carers with a day of pure fun, creativity, and connection and what a day it was! 🎨🥁
Fostering families got stuck into some brilliant arts and crafts, followed by an absolute blast with an amazing drumming group who had everyone moving to the beat. We wrapped up the celebrations the best way we know how…with plenty of cake! 🍰
Foster carers love and support children every single day. This day was all about celebrating them and the wonderful community we are building together. Thank you for everything you do.

🏠 This is Fostering.
This (11th-24thMay), we’re joining to celebrate the incredible families who create our fostering community in Cheshire and Merseyside.
Fostering isn’t just about providing a bed for the night; it’s about the everyday moments that change a life. The dog walks together after school, the roar from the sidelines at a football or rugby match, and the patient conversations right before bedtime.
This year’s theme, ‘This is Fostering’ is all about showing the reality, the laughter, the challenges, and the life-changing impact our foster carers make every day.
Right now, more children than ever need a safe and loving home. We are looking for people who can care for babies, teenagers, sibling groups, and children with additional needs to help them stay close to their schools and communities.

If you’ve ever wondered if you could foster, now is the time to ask.
Could you change a life?

Episode 8 of the Foster4 podcast has landed! Join us as we sit down to chat with Chantelle, manager of The Lighthouse in Warrington, about the importance of a family setting for children in care.

Sadly, there are many children and young people living in residential homes across and who are there simply because there aren’t enough foster carers in their area.

There are also many misconceptions surrounding children and young people who find themselves living in a residential setting, but what they need most isn’t judgment — it’s patience, safety, and someone who believes in them. A stable, caring home can be the turning point that helps a child feel secure, valued, and hopeful about their future.

If you think you could offer a home to a vulnerable child or young person from your community, contact our friendly team today:
